Prior to launching a successful career in real estate, Shevawn earned her Bachelor's & Master's degrees from the University of Kentucky & worked for non-profit organizations for 15 years. Her passion for service (and a battle with breast cancer) inspired her to run for local office, where she served two terms on the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Council. This leadership experience gives her a unique insight into the housing market & future development in Lexington & the Bluegrass region.

Personal Note: Shevawn is married to Jarad and is the mother of two children (Hayden & Emerson), a cancer survivor, a real estate investor with six short-term rentals and five long-term rentals. She also enjoys flipping houses & making homes beautiful in the Bluegrass. As an avid foodie, Shevawn enjoys cooking for her family and trying new restaurants on dates with her husband. Her motivation for working is traveling the world with her family - they've visited 8 countries and 31 states/territories so far & recently bought a condo in Mexico in the beautiful Yucatan peninsula. She's looking forward to retiring abroad someday!
